Elastomeric and concrete coatings manufactured by Rhino Linings Corporation were recently used in an HGTV series, The Property Brothers At Home.
The four-part series follows the Property Brothers, Jonathan and Drew Scott, as they renovated their personal home in Las Vegas. The existing home had two outdoor problem areas that the design team needed help with.
The color and texture of the home’s balcony and covered porch needed to be updated, but it still needed to be waterproof and slip resistant. An outdoor metal staircase also needed to be made safer. The black stair treads on the spiral staircase could become unbearably hot in the desert climate, so the design team needed to find a way to make the treads cooler and add slip resistance to them.
The design team contacted Rhino Linings, hoping that one of its well-known elastomeric coatings might work on the stairs. Then they realized that Rhino Linings Concrete Solutions® products could be used to resurface the balcony too.
